Father’s Office won ‘BEST THEME BAR’ in the 2013 & 2014 AHA Awards and also won the Foxtel ‘I Love Food Award’ for Best Bistro/Pub Food Victoria in 2014..
In 2012, the Retail Savvy Group took over a space in the QV building, completely revitalised and renovated the space into the incredibly themed and intriguing venue it is today. Since opening we have had 210,000 people through its doors in just 78 weeks.
Wander down Little Lonsdale St and you will come across a well-concealed set of doors, complete with peephole and a copy of the 18th Amendment. Follow the stairs to enter a world of glamour, luxury and danger; the world of a 1920’s prohibition speakeasy.
Father’s Office features an impressive heated balcony area that wraps around the venue, and is resplendent with décor reminiscent of the old world glamour of the bootlegging age. Treat yourself to one of our famous cocktails whilst enjoying the stunning views of the tree lined State Library grounds.
Father’s Office has not only a sweeping balcony space, but a bar and restaurant space as well, serving award winning food and drinks. Enjoy a drink from our wide and varied menu, with our unbeatable happy hours every day, or finish up an evening with our half-priced late night dining. The balcony is open year round, and is perfect for both intimate dates and large group catch-ups.
